Get booked from Instagram and Google
Last updated October 5, 2026
Most new clients find you on Instagram or Google Maps. Put your Vadd booking link in both places and they can pick a time without sending a DM. It takes about five minutes.
1. Copy your booking link
Your link looks like getvadd.com/yourname. To copy it:
- In the Vadd app: open Studio and tap Copy for Instagram.
- On the web: sign in at getvadd.com/barber, open Profile and copy the link under Share your booking link.
2. Add it to your Instagram bio
- Open Instagram, go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Tap Links, then Add external link.
- Paste your booking link.
- For the title, use something short like Book a cut, then save.
- If you have more than one link, drag the booking link to the top so it is the one people see.
Instagram also shows a Book action button for some booking apps. That button only works with Instagram's partner list, so Vadd can't use it. The bio link does the same job: one tap from your profile to your open times.
3. Keep the link in front of people
- Stories: add a Link sticker with your booking link when you post an opening, like "2 spots left Saturday."
- Highlight: save one of those stories to a highlight called "Book" so it stays on your profile.
- Posts: share a fresh cut from the Vadd app (open the cut in My work, then tap Share to Instagram). The image carries your booking link, and the caption can say "Book from the link in my bio."
- DMs: when someone asks "you free Friday?", reply with the link instead of going back and forth.
4. Add it to your Google Business Profile
This is the profile people see when they search your shop or find you on Google Maps. You need to be an owner or manager of the profile.
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your profile and search your shop's name on Google, or open the Google Maps app and go to your business.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Under Contact, find Appointment links (some profiles call it Bookings, then Links to your online booking tools).
- Paste your booking link and save.
Google reviews every edit before it goes live. That usually takes minutes, but it can take longer. Your link then appears on your profile as a place to book. Google's big blue "Book online" button is reserved for its direct booking partners, so expect a link rather than that button.
If you work from someone else's shop, ask the shop owner to add the link, or add your link to your own profile if you have one.
5. Check it works
- Open your Instagram profile on a phone where you're signed out (or ask a friend) and tap the link.
- Search your shop on Google Maps and tap the booking link.
- Both should open your Vadd page with your services and open times.
No open times showing? Check your working hours and services in the app or on getvadd.com/barber.
