Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account: name, email, password (hashed), and your role (client or barber).
• Profile & content: avatar, bio, posts and photos you upload, captions, likes, comments, and saved items.
• Hair Profile: the hair record and reference photos you choose to keep, and the cut history barbers add. This is private to you and shared only with barbers you grant access.
• Bookings: appointment times, the barber and service, and status.
• Location (optional): if you grant permission, approximate coordinates to show nearby barbers. You can decline and still use the app.
• Technical: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Photos and metadata

We strip location (EXIF/GPS) data from images on upload so your photos don’t reveal where they were taken. Hair Profile reference photos are stored privately and served only to you and barbers holding a valid grant.

How we use it

To run the core features — accounts and sign-in, the feed, instant booking, and Hair Profile sharing — and to keep the service safe (e.g. reviewing reported content). We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see what

The feed and barber profiles are public. Your email, bookings, and Hair Profile are private. A barber can read your Hair Profile only through a valid, non-expired grant, and every access is logged for you to review. You can revoke a grant at any time.

Service providers

We use Supabase (database, authentication, storage) to operate the service and Vercel for hosting. They process data on our behalf under their own terms.

Your rights

You can access and update your information in the app. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account; account deletion and export are being added and, until then, you can request them by email. Depending on where you live (e.g. California/CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, delete, and opt out of sale (we don’t sell data).

Age

Vadd is not intended for children under 13, and minors should use it only with verifiable guardian consent.
